This notice explains what personal information Mazibisa Consulting Group collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are
Mazibisa Consulting Group is a business consultancy based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@mazibisaconsulting.com.
What we collect
When you contact us. Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the service you selected, and whatever you write in your message, including any deadline you mention.
When we work together. The information needed to do the work — which may include documents you send us, details of the other parties to your transaction, and financial or business records relevant to the engagement.
When you visit this site. Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include the IP address of the visitor, the page requested and the time of the request. These are used to run and secure the site. This website sets no cookies and uses no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and tell you whether we can help.
- To carry out work you have engaged us to do.
- To issue quotes and invoices, and keep our own business records.
- To keep the website running and secure.
- To meet obligations the law places on us.
We do not use your information to market unrelated services to you, and we do not sell it, rent it or trade it. Ever.
Who sees it
Information you give us is treated as confidential. It is seen by the people at Mazibisa Consulting Group who need it to do the work, and otherwise shared only:
- with your instruction or consent — for example when we refer you to a registered legal practitioner, accountant or other specialist;
- with service providers who host our systems, who are bound to protect it and may use it only for that purpose;
- where we are required to disclose it by law or by a lawful order.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Enquiries submitted through this website are stored on our web server, outside the publicly accessible part of the site. Engagement records are kept for as long as we are working together and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep business records, after which they are deleted or destroyed.
If you want your enquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07] you may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and to stop using it for a particular purpose. Write to info@mazibisaconsulting.com and we will respond.
The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) is the Data Protection Authority under that Act, and you may complain to it if you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection. Enquiry records are kept outside the web root and are not publicly reachable. We take reasonable measures to protect information, while recognising that no system can be guaranteed secure — so please do not send us highly sensitive material through the website form. Tell us instead and we will arrange a safer route.
Changes
If this notice changes, the revised version appears here with a new date at the top.
